SE Cathedral Church
Se Cathedral is the largest of the churches in Old Goa, built for the Dominicans. The building style is Portuguese Gothic with a Tuscan exterior and Corinthian interior. The tower houses one of the largest bells in Goa, often called 'Golden Bell'. The main altar is dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria and paintings on either side depict scenes from her life and martyrdom
Convent and Church of ST. Francis of Assisi
One of the most fascinating building of old Goa, it contains carved gilded and carved woodwork depicting scenes from the life of St.Francis.
Basilica of Bom Jesus
This is famous throughout Roman Catholic world as it contains a tomb and the mortal remains of St. Francis Zavier, in a silver casket
Other churches include the Church of St. Cajetan, Church of St. Augustine and the church and Convent of St. Monica.
Mapusa Bazar
Mapusa, the main market of Goaon the Konkan coast, is aconclave of buyers and sellers from all over Goa on Fridays. The Mapusa weekly fair is the logical sequence to the ancient festivals in honour of Kanakeshwar Baba, venerated at the Bodgeshwar temple.PondaIt is here that the Hindus displaced the Portuguese from the coast and barricaded themselves between rivers and hills to hold their sway. The area has several Hindu temples such as Sri Ganapati Temple and Mahalaxmi Temple.

Shri Mangesh Temple
A major attraction for the devotees, the ancient Mangesh temple is situated on the banks of the river Gomati or Zuari as it is called today. Lord Mangesh is worshipped here in the shape of a Shiva linga.
Shri Shanta Durga Temple This temple is dedicated to the goddess of peace, Shanta Durga or Shanteri. Loma Sharma is said to have carried the deity when the Saraswats came to Goa from Tiruhut in Bihar.
Shri RamNath Temple
The temple is situated at Ponda about 33 kms away from Panaji. Apart from the main temple, there are four other temples, namely of Shri Betal, Shri Shantadurga (Shanteri), Shri Laxminarayan, and Shri Sidhanath. All these temples together constitute Shri Ramnath Panchayatan
