City of the Taj: A Gateway to Architectural Excellence

Agra is recognised as one of the most artistically inspiring cities globally. What makes this city a culturally rich destination is a total of three UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. The golden age of the city began with the Mughals. The city was remained as capital till Shāh Jahān shifted the capital to Delhi during his reign.  Today the city is home to one of the 7 wonders of the world, and other numerous monuments scarred around the city. Agra is mostly visited on a one-day trip from New Delhi or other nearby cities in Uttar Pradesh but is totally worth it.
