Itinerary

Day 1

ARRIVAL DELHI

On arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met by our representative who will escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and rest of the day for relax. In the evening you may explore nearby places on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

DELHI-SIKANDRA - AGRA

After breakfast, drive to Agra via Sikandra, the lasting place of Mughal Emperor Akbar. After visit commence your drive to Agra. On arrival, visit Agra fort a historical fort built by Mughal emperor Akbar. Evening is free to explore Agra market at your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

AGRA - LUCKNOW

Rise early to enjoy a breath-taking morning tour of the Taj Mahal, truly one of the world's wonders. Built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to express his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj took 22 years and 20,000 men to build. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast. *Departure from the hotel may be as early as 5:30 am. Visit time may change depending on weather conditions.
After that you will visit the spectacular red sandstone Agra Fort, surrounded by a four-square formal garden (Chahar-bagh) for glimpse for royal Mughal existence. Later, proceed to Lucknow (340 KM/4.5 Hours). On arrival at Lucknow, Check-in at the hotel. Evening free at leisure to relax.

Day 4

LUCKNOW – VARANASI Train

After breakfast, proceed for tour of Lucknow - a daylong city tour visiting attractions like Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Clock Tower, Rumi Darwaza and British Official Residence. Evening board train for Varanasi (ETD 18:00 / ETA 22:10). On arrival at Varanasi airport transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5

IN VARANASI

Early in the morning, drive to Daswamedh Ghat for a sunrise boat cruise on the Ganges River and catch a glimpse of devotees at the prayer. Return to hotel for breakfast followed by guided city tour of Varanasi. The city tour takes you to Banaras Hindu University, Golden Temple and Bharat Mata Temple. In afternoon, continue your adventure to Sarnath (The Deer Park) where the Buddha preached his first sermon and Sarnath Museum. In the evening, enjoy ‘Ganga Aarti Ceremony’ at the Ganges, during which worshippers pray near the water by the light of candles and lanterns. Overnight will be at Varanasi.

Day 6

VARANASI- DELHI Train

After breakfast, walk with us through the city and see Banaras as Mahashamstana, the great cremation ground. We visit an ashram of a path of tantric non-dualism, well known for their black-clothed renunciants who meditate in the cremation grounds.
You will get a taste of death & rebirth while discussing philosophy as you wander through Kali temple to chai shop, eventually reaching one of the cremation grounds.
After the tour, you will be transferred to Varanasi railway station to board train for Delhi (ETD 15:00 / ETA 23:00 – un operational on Monday and Thursday)

Day 7

DELHI DEPARTURE INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

After breakfast check out from hotel followed by sightseeing of New Delhi. Visit to India Gate, drive past through government buildings, Humayun’s tomb and Qutub Minar. After visit, you will be provided departure transfer to Delhi airport to connect flight for onwards journey.

  3. Go for a tale across the river tour and explore lesser known but interesting monuments of Agra.
  4. Visit the Nawab (Viceroy) of Awadh and enjoy tea with him. The head of this aristocratic family will share his historical knowledge, family traditions and his view on modern Lucknow with you.
